Mathematics Development Program for Grades 5-7
Program SynopsisMathematics Development and Enrichment Program is an academic support program for learners who require support and exposure in strengthening core concepts in mathematics. There is a specific focus on arithmetic and problem-solving. The program entails a mixture of computer-based, group- and peer-assessed activities, games, problem-solving, lateral thinking and mathematical challenges.
The focus of such a development program is to strengthen core concepts with a particular focus on mastery of concepts. In addition, the benefits of this program are primarily long-term and may/may not easily translate into immediate report card scores. The aim of the program is to invest in the learner’s intellectual ability, develop a deeper appreciation for the applications of mathematics, and help to better prepare students for high school. This class has a maximum of 15 learners with 2 facilitators. |
